Contact adhesive?

Post by ajp »

Does anyone know of a way of getting old contact adhesive off of paintwork? It doesn't matter too much if the paint is damaged as I intend to repaint anyway.
Any Ideas that beat a paint scraper and elbow grease would be greatly appreciated!

Forgive me for stating the obvious but....if you are going to re-spray your van then all the paint will need flatting back so why would you want to go to the trouble of remove adhesive BEFORE flatting?
