A6 Wheels

Post by Bensdad »

I'm currently looking to buy some Audi A6 wheels 7J x 16" 5x112PCD ET 35. Other than having to machine the centre bore for the front, do I need different wheel studs/nuts/bolts or spacers?

I'll also be lowering the van by 60mm (AVO kit), will there be any fouling?

Any advice appreciated.

A6 Wheels

I have fitted A6 SE 16" wheels to my wagon with a 60 mm drop, I needed front spacers and long bolts (converted over to the longer studs/nuts supplied by Brickwerks)
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/
as you know machine centres to approx 62 mm (ish).
The problem (fun) I found was in tyre clearance between inner tyre wall and upper suspension arm (spring/shock top mount), got over this by spacing, however wheels a stick out a way wider on front, so in hindsight I would have fitted 205/50 VR16 tyres to front , I have 225/50 16" fitted all round at present. The rears will need conversion studs also (Brickwerks) and spacers.

Just going on my experiences, sure others will have different method.
Have fun..
