Original hub caps

Post by Sir Brixalot »

Howdo - hope someone can help. I've been looking around to find genuine VW hub caps for me T25. JK very pricey as is Heritage. I found a three year old post on Volkszone saying that main dealers will supply a set for£36. Seems very cheap. Just wondering whether anyone's bought a set recently. Sorry to pester but trying to get as much background info as poss so that when it warms up a bit I can leap into sorting my van.

Yeah, I'd read they didn't last even a few months. Have tried main dealers who thought they weren't made any more but who needed a part number to check. I can't see any number on the hubcap itself so wondered whether anyone has an old catalogue and could do me a favour and look it up?

Vagcat lists 251601151A as a wheel cap chromed 256mm. No idea if still availale though.

I'm guessing they won't be cheap wherever you get them, althought the quality may well vary from supplier to supplier
What a long strange trip it's been

According to my VG Cat - 151A (Chromed) is still available at 14,50 €
151B (plastic coated is not available)
Plain old 151 (paint ready) is also still available at 14,50 €

251 601 151 C Radzierkappe Original Neufertigung 29.69 € is available from VW Classic Parts - you'd have to ask them what 151C is (painted, coated, chrome or other).

Thanks for help with codes, nearest main dealer said 151A discontinued some time ago. Yes Matt I'm looking for German chrome ones. Are yours in good nick?

Yep the last ones went last year. Must have sold well, they had forty in stock at the beginning of the year.
