To correct a common misconception, Reliant Scimitars had Reliant Scimitar running gear. The design of the front suspension is very similar to the Triumph TR6, and some parts are interchangeable.

@ xpress: A niceset of Wolfies should be worth maybe £200 if they're in good nick and shiny, more if they've got good tyres. Sell them and get something suitable for a van.

Well ya live and learn, our old neighbour's Scimitar definately had F0rd front brake pads and a F0rd engine and ignition system.

Youre right, they're f.o.r.d engines and gearbox casings. Brake pads were interchangeable with loads of other cars back in those days!

I loved my Scimitar - best car I've ever owned...

The running gear(trunions wishbones springs ect) was TriumphTR4A/5/6

if you are interested in a set of these wheels, message me. i was going to put them on a moggie where they would look pretty fab but i might have changed my mind now.
