Wheel alignment or bearings?

Post by 81AirCooled »

Hi all, this is kind of hard to explain but here goes. When I'm going around a right hand curve in the road I think I can feel some slight vibration, almost like there's a litte bit of dried mud I'm driving over with the left hand tyres. The steering wheel itself doesn't vibrate and when I'm not on the accelerator the effect is reduced. It doesn't do it at all when steering left and there's no banging or anything when turning right at a junction, in fact there's nothing out of the ordinary at all as it only happens at speed (or around 25mph+).

The tyre pressure should be ok front and back and is the same on both sides but the steering wheel isn't aligned flat either so could this simply be a case of having the wheels aligned or am I looking at the bearings on the way out?

Thanks

swap the wheels over rear ones on front and visa versa if this does not improve things get the wheels balanced this should iliminate any eggs on tyres buckled rims etc before replacing bearings
