I dont have a lot of spare time at the moment and would like to fit some alloys, what is the easiest and hassle free alloys to fit and get hold of?

alloys where fitted as standard to the Carratt version, they bolt straight on although have different bolts afaik , I know that titus a duxass has some he is selling, give him a PM

The easiest would be VW's own 'OPTION' alloys which were Carat's.
They are a straight fit with new taper front bolts and rear nuts.
Trouble is....as original option they do go for a premium.....£180 - £300 depending on condition/tyres/ and centre caps.

Thanks it's for my caravelle and I want to keep the retro look rather than too modern.

Ok so caravelle rims are the easiest for sure

Mercedes Benz ML class are easy too.
The only work you have to do is fit long studs and buy some radiused nuts and 10mm spacers,
the center bore and the stud holes (dia and PCD) are correct as is the weight they can carry.

fitted to Benz ML's around 1999 on
AGG 2.0L 8V. (Golf GTi MkIII)

No i just dont want a modern alloy, something that doesnt fit in with the date of the vehicle.
