235/60/16 are 34mm or 5.2% bigger than standard

Thanks for your responses. The load capacity on the tyres is 630kg which is a good deal short of the standard wheels/tyres I have on the van at present. I guess that means there wouldn't be a lot of tolerance when it's fully laden.

I certainly wouldnt use them , the thought of a tyre blow out at 70 mph with my family on board sends shivers down my spine!!. And the insurance man would have a field day in the event of an accident.

what technical advise other than suggest keep his old wheels until happy, sherlock

with out wishing to cause offence, you read that the bolts could be taken out on one of the largest and well known information libraries for the vw t25]

Read about removing them on syncro services website for caravan/trailer mefro wheels, not here and I bought them vw passat wheels from a well known dealer and nothing was mentioned so, if it ain't broke don't try and fix it yeah, see how it goes rather than have no hand brake or some pooh and I've seen plenty of over sized 4x4 wheels looking like they're going to drop off, just a well meaning panic.ing french guy joined the dots for me.
