To add to my woes; brakes

Post by 81AirCooled »

Ok, just to really spoil my already bad day the brakes have started squaking when applied and occasionally sqeak also under normal rolling. Is this a matter of just changing the pads or at this stage are the discs and drums already reading to be replaced. If so how can I tell by looking at brakes what exactly needs to be fitted new?

Thanks for you help

An ever more frustated Rob.

1. buy some new pads
2. take out the old pads
3. compare them to the new
4. you decide
5. grease the back of the pads with brake grease
6. reinstall
7. listen to the silence
