tyre load rating
If i'm looking at a tyre with these numbers on 225/75 R16 104H, what part is the load rating? And would they be ok on the van?
Thanks, lloyd

Re: tyre load rating
H is the speed rating, which I think is up to 130mph so that will be fine
104 is 900KG per wheel so you should be fine - I run my Sycro on 100 rated tyres (but I've yet to reach 130mph )

What a long strange trip it's been

You're not thinking of putting those on your van are you?
If so they're waaaaayyy to big.....90mm(13.76%) bigger than standard in fact!
There's no 'r' in bought!
Re: tyre load rating
Lloydy you can get 225/55/16 in 99 rated and they are an exact match to standard

Kumho KH3199w or KH37 99V are only £66 ish.........that's £24 a tyre CHEAPER than Blackcircles fitted price. I doubt a fitter would charge you over £100 to fit 4 tyres

Re: tyre load rating
Thanks all, i've seen a set of merc ml 16" alloys already fitted with these tyres. Would 225's you mentioned look low profile? as i don't want that.
The alloys are pretty cheap, and i thought i might get away using the same tyres

Re: tyre load rating
you'd have to cut the arches to get 225/75/16s on a 2wd van, they'd barely fit a jacked up syncro, they'll go on but won't be driveable
