Mounting spare wheel

Post by brown-bus »

Does anyone have any advise about fixing the spare wheel on the front 'nose' of a T25 ..... as on some bays. Has anyone done this successfully and if so, please could you advise the best fixing points & method. Any photos would be useful.
thanks

Looks like you have 2 choices to go at, a rear mounted (Dogs B :D ll :D cks) one like this,,,,,

OR a cheap as chips E-bay item such as this,,,,

Or you can put it in the cage underneath like everyone else.

Thanks Fritz,
The 'cheap as chips' route sounds good.
Do you know if it's critical where the bolts for the bracket go through the front body work? Would they need to bolt through into a structural element behind to carry weight of spare wheel?
Has anyone out there fixed this kind of bracket on a T25 and where there any problems?
thanks

I've ran bays with spare on front. Believe me, you know it's there!! Wind catches it and pushes front around alot. Might effect radiator cooling as it will be blocking airflow to radiator.
