I had three tyres relaced 185/80 14 C, cost me £125 fitted.(Federal).. Mark

Personally, I'd say a big "NO" to that one.
Legally & techinicaly I don't know the answer but please get yourself some new ones before you go anywhere ...
You can get new commercial tyres, properly load rated from about £35 a corner if you shop around

OK i've booked it in on Friday at £100 for two tyres.
I only noticed them this morning when i went to check the pressures
Living in remote west Wailllllllls we don't get much choice with tyre depot's.
Moving back to sunny Zummerzet next week so want to be safe for the journey.

T3/25 tyres should be 8 ply. I just paid £45 for a tyre, fitted, balanced, new valve etc. that was a good, trade price.

I got a set of four beutiful tyres fitted and balanced for under £200. Or put another way just over three tanks of petrol. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing and worth a small fortune if you have a blowout and get invoved in an accident. My Brother was involved in a serious prang and the smokeys took his vehicle away for a week and went over it with a fine toothcombe. That would have been a week on the toilet if he knew his tyres were iffy!

Nope! it shouldn't have past...I would have definately failed that if I'd been doing the MOT.
At least the 185 R14C is a cheapish tyre...

I remember doing one once (without fitting machine) By letting a 4 poster ramp down on it to unseat the beed, all looked good until the cables came off the ramps pulley's...boss wan't best pleased.
Anyways, we have a tyre fitting and ballancing machine now...wayhay!
