merc penta and front stud question

Post by BLUG »

hi i have a set of merc pentas with 205/65 15"s for the rear and 205 60 15 for the front, has anyione fitted these wheels to an early wedge, i want to space the rear out but dont want it to foul the door, the rears are already on and dont foul the slider with no spacers,i have 5mm 13mm and 20mm spacers, im sure the 20mm on the rear will foul, im hoping the 13s wont.
now this is stupid, but i have 51mm front studs and im wondering which way round to fit them, if i fit the short threaded end to the hub, i will have to space the fronts out in order to get my closed type nuts on, but will i get away with fitting the longer threaded side to the hub and use the shorter end to bolt the wheel to?

any help greatly appreciated.

ps i think the et on the wheels 1s 11 but im probably wrong, and the wheels are genuine amg pentas.

ta ed.

nope!!

the short side goes into the hub pref with some threadlock on it.

you can cut the studs length to suit your wheel / spacer combo :ok
