Help with alloy sizing

Post by bigdogbsc »

Help! Am running remotec 16" alloys at the moment on my T25 panel with fronts at 225/50 and rears 245/55. Looks mean but want a slightly meaner look and am thinking of buying some porsche cup one alloys 17" with front tyres at 205/40 ET23 and rears 255/50 ET15. Trying to figure out if they will fit the current van without too much tweeking. Has been lowered on Just KAmper 60mm shocks and springs set. Don't know what the ET is on my current van?..... and if putting the new porsche set on i'm going to upset the suspension etc because of the difference in off set. Am new to this game so any advise would be great! Thanks

Here is a picture of the van at the moment with the alloys i plan to replace!!

as far as im aware to use porsche wheels you will need to fit adaptor plates like these.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-to-Porsche-adp ... 0324090676

rears wont allow the sliding door to pass and on an et of 15 by the time you fit the adaptors (20mm min) you will be at least et+5

not good , find some with an et of at least 55 :ok

Thanks for all the help. Read on the "brick yard" that it is just about possible so have taken the plunge and ordered the wheels. Will keep you updated. If it doesn't work there will be a set of porsche alloys back on ebay soon! The sliding door already doesn't open and if i keep the current alloys on i will have to extend the hinge! Don't know where the headlight brow came from...it came with the van!!!

Thanks for you help and i'll post a pic if i ever manage to get them on!! :?

The ET isway off!

You need an ET of around 55 so when you use 25mm adapters you end up about 30.
