tyre question

Post by bennwedge »

Hi all, I'm going to be running 7.5" wide 17" high et -15 ( if I've worked it out right) wheels with 225/40/17 tyres with 60mm springs . I'm modifying the arch(making it extra wide) and from tyre to arch there is 50mm clearance . Am I going to have problems? Eg: on full lock or ruff terrain. Will I be able to fix the problems by adjusting the bumpstop so that the wheel won't hit the arch?, if I do that will I have a hard ride?

I don't think that adjusting the bumpstops will stop the wheel hitting the arch/seat base but then again from what you say I don't think you are going to have a problem anyway.

Mine runs 16' with a drop of 50mm no issues at all
