Alloy Fitting kits, Brickwerks V FleeBay

Post by wackos00 »

I'm just about to get all the bits and pieces I need to fit some Merc rims to the bus, went on Brickwerks worked out what I needed and it came to £90 odd, fair enough, then I went on Feebay and found a fitting kit for £80 including postage. For the sake of £10 I would rather use Brickwerks as they defo know what they are talking about, but I was just curious.

At least with brickwerks you know you'll be getting good stuff, ebay gear a bit of a gamble, and like you say for the sake of a tenner....

Try sending the stuff back to e-bayer when you order the wrong bits.
Try getting any sense out of them when you have a warranty issue.
Did the e-bay person offer up loads of free info?
Was the e-bay seller just selling a generic kit with massive long studs etc rather than the right sized items?

All questions you need to be asking.
