What size tyres should I have on my alloys

Post by timbosh »

Morning All - My Westie picked up an advisory on the 1st MOT since I've owned her due to the wheels on the front being too small.

The chap I bought her from was a tyre fitter and had put the follwoing on

Front
Pirelli 175 / 65 / R15

Rear
Avon 225 / 60 / R15

Van looks visually like it tilts down to front due to difference front and rear.

What should I have on them?

Cheers

195/70/15C's or 205/65/15C's

Your rears are ok as long as they're commercial rated tyres or have a load rating above 95...ideally 97 and above.

Will it tell me on the load rating on the tyre

Cheers

The sizes quoted are for both front and rears but like i said your rears are ok as they're near enough the same rolling radius as standard wheels....as long as they have a high load rating that is.

The load rating is on the tyre sidewall.
