Tyre ????

right ive got the genuine vw. 14" caravelle alloy wheels with the following tyre Semerit Hispeed 205-70-14 ( 97R ). as they are no longer available,i need 4 new ones. just wana know what other tyres has any one use.

1 . make of tyre
2 . same size and load rating.
3 . cost ???
4 . what would u recomend

id like to thank you in advance for any help.

Neil, I've got 185 14C's on my carats. Vredestein Comtracs, £45 each fitted from local tyre depot.

I always use Vredestein tyres on all my cars, have done for years. They wear really well, grip in the wet is brilliant and they are quite reasonably priced, not the cheapest but a lot cheaper than some other big names.

Don't know if they do your size but, if they do I would recommend them to you.

neil.had two fronts fitted today. federal 205 70 14 8 ply...£86+vat =£101.05

having to get some for mine aswell, have found a place in coventry that does the 8 ply reinforced for £52 each fitted.

Just had a pair of brand new tyres fitted to mine. 185 R14C, dated 2008 on the side wall, for £38 each. Event Road 2005 they are called. Don't know if they're any good but they are sure better then the tyres that were on it! Taffys Tyres in Eccles, Manchester. Top place.
