Protecting chrome wheels?

Post by dridgy »

I have some chrome 8 spokes on my van circa 1980's.
the original laquer has flaked off, so last year i refurbished the two rear wheels but stripping off the remaining laquer, polishing the chrome and then relaquering them with a can of spray laquer from wilkos.
1 year on and the wilkos laquer has flaked off and the chromes all starting to rust.
so ill have to refurbish them again.
Can anyone recommend something that will protect the chrome once i repolish them up?
thanks
John

you could try a good quality laquer. got a to a motor factor to get some pro stuff, that might be better!
