Wheel Centre Caps that fit

Post by sonic23 »

Hiya,
Have got a set of 16" Granada Scorpio Ghia Alloys with the bores machined so they fit. I'm not using a spacer - so the rear hub nut does protrude by about 20mm.

I was just wondering if anyone has come with a centre cap solution to fit these wheels. To me it looks like I need to find a cap with approx 60mm inside ring/clip diamter, and then maybe modify these in the same way on the WIki as the Merc ring/clip ->VW Polo cap solution.

So far everything I've found is too small (i.e Audi at 55mm inside ring/clip) or too big (Merc at 70mm inside ring/clip)

cheers,
Rich

I've done this!

I bought a set of wheel centre's from MWS which are designed for their EMPI's BRM's etc and had the centre of the wheels machined to fit them (at the same time as opening them out to clear the hubs) you only need the first 10mm or so enlarging so has no effect on strengh of wheel.
