what tyres?

Post by edmundator »

I bought my van with a set of 5.5Jx15 alloys that are fitted with crap Chinese tyres.

I'm not convinced that the tyres are the right size to maintain the correct rolling radius. Can anyone tell me what tyres I ought to be running to keep this as close to the original 14" steel wheels/factory spec tyres as possible.

I've tried using online tyre size converters, but I can't find one that's set-up for van tyres.

standard steels are 51/2 J X 14

and your original tyre would be 185/82 X 14C giving an overall diameter of 654 mm or 25.75 inches

to achieve the same diameter on a 15" you would have to fit a 195/70 X 15
