Wheel Nuts

Post by Dubstar »

I got a new set of wheel nuts for my van, but when I went to put them on they appear different to the ones already on. Then new ones have a long straight taper, and the old ones have a sort of fat stubby taper. Are there 2 different types then and does this mean VW themselves sold me the wrong ones? For £35. :(

Mine are just standard steels, with the radiused type nut as per the Brick-Yard thread. I thought I'd go to VW 'cos, well, why not, and they're only round the corner in Trafford Park. I didn't mention what type of wheels they were for, but then again, they didn't ask me, and usually dealers want war and peace, and more off you before they order the bits.
