some pics of the devon
hi, i thought i would post some pics of our camper project so far
this is what we started with
found alot of rot when he when i stripped her out, sliding door, outer sill, both battery boxes, around the front windscreen and holes in all sorts of various places
neighbours probably werent too happy on this day
it has been in the body shop for the past 5 weeks and had every bit of rot cut out and replaced with metal and a sexy new paint job. we are so happy, the guy has done a fantastic job and kept a very comprehensive photo diary for us.
i have been working on the roof this week, putting a new carpet in and attaching the new bellows (very nervous that i was going to slip with the drill)
will keep adding as i progress, should happen pretty fast as i need to get out in him and use it for what it does best.

the cupboards were hanging, did think about keeping them but they were in too bad condition. the whole bus was pretty rough to be honest with you. would have given em away if they were any good but they werent.
going to put the roof on today as it is sunny. reckon i need a few more bodies though, no wonder the thing is sooooo slow, bloody thing weighs a tonne.

Re: some pics of the devon
got quite a bit more done yesterday. managed to get the floor down and the kitchen in
had a good measure up and got two 300 carcases from b&q and chopped em up a bit to make em fit
fixed some wood down to get the right height but left a channel between for gas, water and wiring
after cutting the top( which was no easy task ) we built a frame work to allow access to the engine still and a masive storage area wiand used the large compartment at the foot ot the bulk head to fut the water, gas and wiring in but still easily accessible. all the panels fit on with magnets and stay on brilliantly, alot better than what i thought.all three are removable.
getting there now
here is the finished thing,
just got to cut in the hob and the sink now. they are going either end of the two cupboards.we want some particular smev ones so the worktop is made to suit. just got to do a bit more saving so i can buy them now. should leave a food food prep area between.
ignore the fridge it was a failed attempt of improving it but i haven't finished with it yet!!!!
