Westfalia Cupboard Trim

Has anybody replaced the trim on their Westfalia cupboards? Mine has shrunk and gone brittle. Any tips on where to buy and fit it. What colour code? Also, anyone done the maths on how much you need?

Don't get me wrong, looks like a simple job but if anyone has done it before it would be good to hear from you.

If I understand what you want then Günzl in Germany is probably the only place to get this stuff new. They stock the light grey and dark grey plastic edging trim as fitted on the various cupboards, drawers, etc by Westfalia.

They take Paypal and will post to the UK. Try not to get carried away and order too much :mrgreen:

Thanks for the reply. Looks like Gunzl for around €10 for 175 cm and comes in 2 widths, going to have to get measuring (13 or 17mm).

Also found it at 100cm lengths for under £2 at http://www.grasshopperleisure.co.uk/ind ... ion=search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But this is 15mm width. Might see if they can send some samples to check size and colour.

If you can remove the trim without breaking it stick it in a large pan of boiling water for 10mins or so. Stretch it then fit it back on and clamp in place, once its cooled will be as good as new.
