How big is your water tank?

Post by stupot73 »

Just seen this thread which is kind of related, but not exactly. Thought I'd post specifically about water tank size.

http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=123406

We have ditched the on-board tank in our Autohomes Kamper (which is around 90 / 100 litres I think?) in favour of adding storage under the bed. I am just building the side units and now have to decide on water tank size. I don't want fresh or waste water external at this stage so was thinking about the Fiamma 23l Fresh and Waste tanks as shown here:

http://www.fiamma.com/EN/products/comfort/tanks/

With two small children we are generally planning to go wherever there are 'facilities' and so not too concerned about being able to wild camp 'off-grid' a lot - maybe just a night here wildcamping and there. I was interested in other experiences.

My question is, do you think 23l is big enough for a day or two on a camp site, assuming that water will only be used for a little washing up and drinks?

I know peoples experiences will all be different but would welcome any input.

Cheers me dears!

54.5 Ltrs so your 23 Ltrs is just under half that; should be plenty as long as you don't do too much washing up
