Hi top - lining the inside of roof and insulation

Evening,
I plan to use the Megavanmats 'mega stretch' lining material when I re do my hi top (it used to have the carpet type lining). I will use the high temp adhesive they sell and that is recommended on here too.
Search as I might I cant find any reference to actually doing the job.
Ive got some old adhesive inside the fibreglass roof, some of which I can remove but not all. Also, does the lining just stick to the fibreglass or would I be better off pre - insulating the roof first, and if so, how/what with?
This is going to be a voyage of discovery for me!
Any tips greatfully received

Pre-line the high-top with plywood, then use high melting point adhesive to stick on the lining carpet. Lots of info in ''Technical - Campers''. :)

Have tried searching but its all a bit vague!
Must be me, but I can't find any detailed threads on 'how to' in Tech - Campers...
Specifically, adding the extra weight (and expense) of ply might be an issue?
If I add ply, how do you actually attach it to the fibreglass (limited 'strengthening battens' molded into my type of hitop). I'd worry it would eventuall bow downwards..? Is it glued to the fibreglass, and if so, what with?
I like the idea of neatening the roof up but keep reading horrors about damp etc

Cheers

...planning the ply lining of the fibreglass hitop roof. I will need to glue in some battens to screw the ply panels to. Has anyone done this before? What glue did you use? Ive been recommended something called 'Sticks Like Sh*t' by EvoStick (yes, seriously!).
Would appreciate any advice on this sticky subject.....(groan!)
Thank you :ok

its pissy about work but my van left the bedding wet when stored during the day in the lakes , so had to do something , now i hate wood with a vengeance, but i was partitioning the front and rear space so fixed a few battons to the side and top insulated and affixed 3mm ply, if you do it right then the roof bit is bowed up and the sides stop it falling so it sort of wedges in place, now never ever gets wet, and as the roof is insulated then there is no condensation forming on the inside of the f glass so win win , there are im sure good threads on here with how tos, just be patient for one of the woodbutchers to come forth

Get proper grip fill builders adhesive, thats what I used on mine a good few years ago and still stuck solid! I did make sure it was totally dry before I stuck it on

Cheers. Did you put the battens lengthways or cross ways, if you get my drift? Friend has just offered me use of aircraft hangar to use for weekend whilst I do this.... Very pleased with that!
