Webasto heater fuel pump repair?

Post by Aberdeenbus »

Hi
Ive A bit of an odd one, I have inherited a webasto thermotop from a Rover 75 via a freinds camper, it was working perfectly when we took it out of the camper.
HOWEVER
In transporting it home I have damaged one of the ends of the fuel dosing pump (89372A) its snapped off where the fuel pipe fits, the pump still pumps and i still have the little ball bearing from inside.
Does anyone know if the pumps are servicable or am I going to be searching Ebay.de for a resonable priced replacement.

cheers

Si

It's only the older ones that are dismantle-able - unless you have a nut on there I'm afraid that you are out of luck. :(
Used on ebay here @ £55 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mercedes-A170 ... 2a2b9a7914
£70 new de ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Webasto-Fuel- ... 51a2055435

Although I try not to pay more than £25 for one.

Next time break it off the other end and you could cobble a joint together and it wouldn't matter!
