Can somone enlighten me as to why some glass is slightly curved and others are flat?

My glass is slightly curved whereas, doner glass from the same year van was flat :?

I could be wrong, but if you are talking about the rear panels in the A/S I suspect they had them made up specially......

I have broken the n/s rear in Gunther and have been looking for a replacement for a while and have struggled, defo not the same as a factory window and different to some of the other conversions as well.

My assumption therefore was that as the A/S was a converted panel van they used their own windows or ones that were available in the aftermarket at the time.

Sure Mick will put me straight though if I'm wrong :D

Glass is actually classed as a very viscous liquid, and will creep with age, so its possible it was flat when fitted, but has gradually curved to match the curvature of the panels in which it is fitted.....possibly

Windows could be ordered as either curved or flat. I remember my dad converting a t2 panel van and he specifically ordered curved as opposed to flat. More expensive but looked better.
