T25 Hi-top Upper Bed Extension

Hi Everyone
I am continuing to explore our VW T25 Reimo conversion. The upper bed is great but i could do with extending the length by a few inches. Has anyone tried to do this? if so, whats the best way? I have enclosed some pics so you can see the setup. Look forward to hearing your views.

Just in case anyone else was interested in a potential solution to this issue; when i dismantled the floor of the upper compartment to investigate further i found a spare foot of boarding that wasn’t available due to a block that was in place. I think this is a fairly conservative excess of boarding so i removed the block and reinstalled 6 inches back, giving me plenty of space now.
