Hello

Post by Smosh »

Hi all,

I'm new. Been scanning your forum and wiki for the last week after buying my first T25, which is also my first camper. I've had a bit of history with old cars owning a pile of mini's (dont judge me) and a 1970 mk2 Cortina. But after chatting to some VW owners at NASS festival I decided Camping in a van beats a tent.

I looked around for a month or so before finding my Van. I considered a old leyland, transit and a bedford CA but this won our heart and it was available locally (I'm from Guernsey). I am mechanically minded but bit rusty after 3 years away from tinkering. Only 25 so still got plenty of years to learn and I'm the van will be making me and my wife learn!

Look forward to speaking with you all.

All the best,

Smosh

Welcome to the club.

As you must already know you can expect to get a lot of help on here. There are a few grizzlers on here but hey that's life, but there is also a lot of humour. Put your van details up with your other details on the left hand side like I have. That way you will get faster assistance.

In the meantime enjoy your van and get travelling!
:ok

Wow! Active forum, thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

My first car was a Mini clubman Estate (Java green 8) ) also had a mini van, mini city, italian job and another estate. none of them ever made it to being what i wanted from them. A nice 1380 supercharged, sitting on 10" alleycats, 7.5" disk brakes and smooth-a-ride suspension. Clubman vintage buckets and I could go on..

Meet ????? (we havent named her yet)
Image

This was a picture from our first venture, Fauxquets Valley, Guernsey. Didn't want to go too far!

We had our first problem too, we didn't realise that the leg to the awning didnt have a stopper so it came off, followed by 5 minutes of my wife laughing at me trying to get it back in!

Hellp Smosh, welcome. You've decided she's a female so naming her is a little easier.
My suggestion, as it's female, is B...h No! not that, I meant Beth.
