Solar phone chargers HELP!?

Hi all,

I'm going away soon for 2 nights in the van to a site without electric hookup. The fridge is running on gas fine, and i don't think we'll need much lighting in these summer months so hopefully won't be draining the van battery!

My concern is how to charge mobile phones. We may not be moving the van much from where we are pitching so the cigarette lighter option when on the move is probably no good. So i'm thinking about buying some sort of solar charger to do the job, it's for an iPhone and an HTC. We don't have a leisure battery at the moment and i don't even know if there is wiring to connect it so i'd rather not go down that route.

Can anyone recommend a good charger? This is a bit new to me so i'm not sure what i'm looking for!

Thanks for the suggestion. Looks a good product but it doesn't fit the iPhone

I prefer the solar idea rather than having to sit there winding the crank!

They are not a lot of good to be honest, why not just use the cigarette lighter socket to charge them they take very little.

Phone charging won't drink much juice. If you're careful with use of other electrics, you should be fine.

Another option are the external battery backup chargers

or
12v battery booster:

or buy a leisure battery and cigar socket. Temporarily hook socket to battery. Will come charged and give you plenty of power. Hook it into system when you have time.
