looking at doing this for my new stereo,do not want to appear too thick but where would be the easiest place to get the ignition feed from?,without too much trouble,I have the rubber mat out of the cab area at the moment,thanks

Not sure I understand what you're getting at. Why would you want to feed your stereo from both batteries?

If it is just a trigger you can take it from the thick black and red wire on the steering column.

But don't draw loads of power from it use a fues would be good idea to use a diode.

Do you want to use the main bat while driving then flip over to aux bat when camping?

If so you could put a relay in so will run off the main battery when there is 12v from an ignition and the aux bat when parked up.

Think of the big pic, best to plan all leccy stuff at once and post up, if you dont u will end up with a mess of wire.
I have seen a few botch jobs in my time if you not 100% post up someone locally will help for beers.

thanks for that,was wanting to use main battery when driving and to automatically switch over to leisure battery when ignition is switched off

Ah, I see. Just connect it to your leisure battery as once the engine is running the starter and leisure batteries are linked via the split charge system anyway

Simple solutions are the best, 1664 is spot on.

I made a wee asumption that u didn't have a split charger.
