Phase anyone dealt with someone that they'd recommend and do they do postal service? Thanks, mitch.

May have been me, i got my alternator done there recently, real old skool place but no mail service, got to drop off and pick up.

i did mention it to Mitch but his memorys not all that

a little while ago i found a starter for sale on the yard, knowing mitch needed one (as he has mine for months now) i sugested he buy it which he did
seller took weeks to get him a postage price, when he did mitch paid then days later asked me to remind him what he bought as he forgot
i said that would ruin the surprise so didnt tell him
days later he told me he found a starter motor and bought it

how many have you got now?

Must do that video on fitting new brushes in the starter. Most of the time thats all thats needed and they're only a fiver.

Yes please, where do you get brushes ?
i think Steve/Mitch/what2d did try taking it appart but could not get the screws out so tips there would be great also

Yes I do indeed now have one that I bought off the yard (thanks to eagle eyed Paul) which means that I can return the borrowed one, however, there's probably not much wrong with my original one and I've no intention of binning it. I did manage to get the screws out in the end but can't remove the armature as there's still 'stuff' attached to it! The place you recommended doesn't do postal service if I remember correctly Paul which is why I posed the question. If cov pits up a video one day, I may get around to doing the brushes on mine (once I've figured out how to remove the armature - not that you need to for brush renewal, I just wanted to give it a thorough clean). Won't be for several weeks as I'm busy farming the land to provide you good folk with beer and food!!
