You know the one - the one that tells you that you've left your main beam on, that one.

Well mine's either blown, or it's just too dim to see (even in the dark) and now that I have festooned the front with all the lights Ebay had to offer, I need to know when they're on or not.

Is it a replaceable part? if so, where can I get a new one?

Might not be the bulb, could be the number two position on your 14 pin multi plug that connects your dash, the circuit board has a habit of falling to pieces, careful when you remove it! the following picture is for head light upgarde but you can see the tell tale is operated from the right side headlight.

Also the dash itself is earthed on the "crowns" above the fuse box.

Or you can wire in a seperate LED/bulb to the high beam circuit and mount it somewhere else but so you see it easily. That would pass an MOT. Doesn't actually have to be blue (although best if it is) - you just have to have a visual indication that is easy to see

Sorry, should have done a search but thanks for the replies. I'm sure I've got a blue LED lying around somewhere - might wire that up.

I ordered mine direct from VW, it also worked out the cheapest way as didn't have to get it posted.

Easy to replace and it's an MOT failure if it isn't working now.

Brickwerks do them, or ebay, note the original part is a bulb, not an LED.
