Hello to the wise.
Now then, I'm going to put the forum to the test and I know that I'll not be disappointed! Out for a boozy supper with friends last night and my mate has a Westfield with 1700 cross flow. He has an intermittent problem in that sometimes his charging light on the dash doesn't always go out. Normally, he revs it to approx 2000 rpm and it goes out. However, occasionally, in order to make the light go out he has to switch on the headlights for a minute or more and then rev the engine before the light goes out.
He's tried unsuccessfully to find a remedy on different forums but none of them sound anywhere near as knowledgable and helpful as this.
Prove me right folks, and show him what a good bunch you are.
Many thanks, mitch.

Re: Charging light query
I followed that thread the other day, although it's a bit over my head to be honest. It's because of what I read on there that I was confident the remedy would be found on here! Thanks.

Re: Charging light query
So, to summarise, check the trigger wire connections and replace the regulator pack - have I got that correct?
