temperature sensor 1700 KY diesel

Post by Stan3 »

Hi
Sorry, probably silly question...is the temp sensor that controls the temperature gauge the one at the back of the cylinder head? If so, it looks like a screw in one but Europarts tell me the sensor is a push in one?

It would be useful to know which/where all the sensors are...does anyone know a one-stop place to find out for this engine?

Thanks,
Phil

The temp sender at the back of the cylinder head should be the one that controls the glowplug relay.

The one that does the temp gauge is in the bypass hose flange where it goes into the side of the block, below injector 3.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.

Ah, Mr Fox, thank you!

However, there are two sensors going into the bypass, one into the top (ie pararllel to cylinder), and one going into the side, perpendicular to cylinder, this one has a red connector....
Top one has brown plus red/yellow wires, and one in side has brown plus blue/white wires....

Thanks again!

Sorry, I've been away..............

And I can't help you with the two sensor dilemma. Beyond my knowledge!
