Autosleeper fridge relay q

Post by baj25 »

I’ll soon be fitting a leisure battery to my van (1990 Autosleeper). Van has fridge in already, and has a relay connected into ignition so fridge is only on 12v when engine running. Does anyone know if AS use the ignition warning light circuit to switch the relay or just the ignition switched supply? I have the wiring diagram from wiki, which says ignition switch but I have doubts about that. Also, where is the fridge relay, so I can connect coil of my split charge relay to it? (assuming it is from ignition light not switch). Ta, Bri

Half answered my own question with some digging around last night. With original AS wiring, fridge can be powered from 12V when the ignition is on (engine doesn't need to be running), therefore note on wiring diagram on wiki is spot on. So I gave up trying to find the relay as it is bog all use to me for split charging. Cheers, Bri
