So I've found a couple forum posts about people having problems with their speedo working and not the milometer but mines the other way around?
The cable was a bit worn and it had stopped working completely so I've fitted a new cable, now have the mile gauge but don't know how fast I'm going unfortunately.
It sounds like a green cog is responsible for the milometer but I'm not sure about the speedo, anyone ever had this problem or taken it apart?
Thought I'd ask before I have to buy a new one!

Re: Milometer but no speedo?
The speedo is driven by the speedo cable turning a magnet inside the speedo working as a generator pulling the speedo needle round either the windings are broken inside the generator or the needle has stuck.

Re: Milometer but no speedo?
Lol I had to re read that, sounded complicated at first but then realised it wasn't! Thanks for that, it randomly started moving today so I messed about with it and looks like the cable was at a bit of an angle behind the dash so I pulled it through and seems to be good now.
Thank you!
Thank you!
