Gauges flickering

I just dropped the gearbox and replaced the clutch, replaced the glow plugs and glow plug relay. Now it is all back together and running smoothly engine wise, some of my gauges are flickering on and off, and i can hear one or two of the relays doing the same. The gauges in question are the: Glow plug light, engine oil light and water temp light? These tend to happen more so when i change gear and on release clutch pedal. I have retraced everything i did but cannot find anything untoward?

Anyone have any ideas on this little worrying query.

Have you reconnected the earth strap to the gearbox?

No, I changed that position a while back when i fitted a new starter motor. It is food for thought though, it would not be any harm to restrap it and have the two ground wires i suppose, thanks for the input, i will try it out tomorrow.

Spot on matey, put a new earth strap from the box to the chassis, and so far so good
