Square headlamps

Post by handsoff666 »

Hi, I've got a auto sleeper with square headlamps and wondered where I could get a replacement glass for my left hand side lens (it's got a crack in the glass). I can't make myself pay £200 for second hand lamps going on ebay. I have original rhd lamps and was hoping someone stocks replacement parts. Cheers

And the official word from Hella is that they will NEVER remake the rhd ones as there is insufficient volume demand.

Probably hundreds of thousands of units. It wouldn't be 10k's... LHD production outnumbered RHD 20:1 or more. I am not even counting the US models because they had a flat dip pattern.

I have a pair of scirocco main beams in my shed that are up for grabs for not a lot which can be made to fit allegedly, but not for the faint hearted. Going round headlights or LHD might be your best bet.

what are the dimensions of the glass lens of the Sirroco's. I wonder if I could reuse the glass part of the lamps and transplant them on to my lamps?

The Scirocco ones are the same dimensions as the inner square ones on your camper, not the rectangular outer ones.

As 1664 says. The smaller square inners are the same as a scirocco the outer big ones can be bodged but requires cutting mounting etc sorting out as they are a different size.
