Bulbs - where to get list of spares and/or box of spares?
As part of stocking up on spares, I want to get a standard set of light bulb spares to keep in van when I travel.
- Where can I get a list of bulbs I need?
- Can someone supply a box of spare bulbs?
(for 1989 T3/25 Westfalia/California 1600 TD)
Mian interest is for exterior lights, but better stil if interior too.
Thanks
Peter

Difficult to source especially with every bulb & fuse.
Exterior bulbs.
H4 Halogen headlamp outter headlamp
H3 Halagen inner full beam
21watt BA15s (317) brake light/front & rear indicator lights/fog light/reverse light...this is the most commonly used bulb.
10 watt P245T rear side lights
4 watt BA9S front side light (I think)
Standard Euro blade fuses mostly 10 & 15 amp but one or two other sizes

Hmmmm........stop & tail light bulb & a 5 watt rear side light bulb doh! like I say...the kits are not accurate and rarely contain everything needed.
No H3
No 10 watt rear side light
Not every fuse

What, what...., mine has 21W/5W twin filament stop/tail bulbs

Can't argue with that. No interior light bulb
California Dreamin wrote:No H3
Oh yes, I was forgetting all the posh buggers with twin squares (including the op)

Must be a Westy thing....
You ought to get a job teaching all this you know

Thanks to all. I've bought a collection of spares. May not have all, and some maybe wrong. But I should have the most important ones.
Cheers

Been to bed since the last time I had my rear lamps apart. However, this picture does shed some light on the matter...slightly contradicting common side light fitment, as everyone I know uses 10 watt bulbs (you can barely see a 5 watt so definitely go for 10 watts of the same bulb type)
No stop & tail light (dual filament) bulbs.

Yes, same here
That diagram certainly does clearly show that no dual filament bulb is fitted, which contradicts the Haynes circuit diagram (which I had used as a reference) No great surprise there though
So it seems I stand corrected sir

Re: Bulbs - where to get list of spares and/or box of spares?
i discovered recently that Poundland does the whole set for one side (or very close to a full set) - for, well, a pound. Now, some may debate the quality but none of mine have blown and they're cheap enough to keep a spare set. They do come with headlight bulbs too. Wasn't interested in those particularly and not tried them although I'm sure they'd be fine as a get-you-home measure. Certainly if a bulb blew there would be one in the box that will fit it, no matter which one has blown. They're all VW fittings.
