Door Lock Actuator Electric Motor

Post by Wychall »

Has anyone found a supplier for the electric motor in the door lock actuator?

I now have three actuators lying around, all dead because of corrosion in the electric motor. I have resurrected one by soaking the motor in De-Ox but don't know what life it will have if there is any roughness from corrosion inside.

So where can I get a replacement motor? I've tried Ebay but drawn a blank, and have trawled lots of model building websites but just more blanks. Any suggestions?

I have fitted a kit from here http://www.rclick.co.uk

It works really well and was less than £40

Thanks for that Tom, but being a**l retentive as I am, I wanted to resurrect the original actuators.

Or perhaps I just like wasting my time? :rofl

The T4 part fits and is available new. The connection will need to be adapted as the connector is different. Look on Brickwerks. Mick at NW VW should have used actuators.

PS. The Sharan filler flap actuator looks very similar, possibly might yield a good motor to repair the T3 one, cheap if you're friendly with your local scrapper.
