Hole in bulkhead?

Post by Reimotim »

Just bought a £2.29 temperature gauge and the task is now to fit it, but the big question is...

Is there an existing hole in the bulk head that i can poke the sensor through?

I saw a couple of other posts on the wiki that mention fitting them, but I couldn't see any info on where to route them.

Any thoughts gratefully received

Thanks
Tim

So the plan is to mount the display on or around the dash with the cable running out through the front of the van and locating the sensor somewhere out of the wind and away from the rad.

Just thought that if there was an existing hole it'd probably make sense to go out through that.

Did the blower motor about a year ago and now wish I'd done this when I had the dash out!

The main loom exits behind the fusebox through a grommit could add a wire there
The speedo cable exits behind the instruments ditto

Poke stiff garden wire through from the grill side is easiest attach electrical wire and pull back through
