Alpha Batteries

Post by The Bishop »

:ok

Paul at Alpha has just looked after me. 2.5 years ago they supplied a battery which officially is still under warranty, but we all know what warranties are like and I would have to pay the cost of shipping it back, they would test it and also want confirmation thatthe alternator is working OK. Sounds a lot of faff!

So anyway, he supplied me with a new 135 ah battery for £59 with another 3 years warranty.

Sounds Ok to me.

I guess that AH doesn't fit in the battery box?

The safe was in place when we bought it. The battery box has a plate welded over it and a steel door and lock.

Yes it's quite nice at events to be able to put valuables in there and know they will be there when you get back, unless someone nicks the van!

Yup...you have done quite well there as if we are honest, most leisure battery failures are due to poor battery charging regime (allowing them to go flat or become heaviliy discharged and perhaps not fully re-charging them straight away.

Yeah some might say I should have haggled under the warranty and perhaps I could have, but is it really worth the stress! Paul could see where I was coming from and came up with a great deal for me, one satisfied customer who will continue going back to him :ok

Just spoken to John at Alpha Batteries and arranged to pick up the 90 Ah battery on Monday.
He asked me to post a link to the new website as he can see people using existing Club80-90 links are failing to retrieve the old pages on his web thingy interface.

http://www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/campervan-batteries/

Hope this helps someone.
He added that if club members follow up an order with an email he will credit £5, or alternatively order over the phone for the club discount - club discount code in the pipeline.

Now I have one and am working my way through it.
