New headlamps for Europe

Post by DustyBiscuit »

Hello everyone, I have a question on behalf of a friend (he's not signed up himself yet!)

He has a LHD bus which he's taking over to France permanently, so he's looking at scrapping the plastic beam converters and getting some new headlamps with the European beam pattern. I've had a trawl about in the web and so far have only found 1 supplier (Cool Air VWs). I don't suppose anyone out there an point me in the right direction so he can shop about a bit? :o)
Cheers!

I got mine from WAGONBUILD for £130 for each compleate assembly.
Getting the van registered was a long paper trail but it is now done.

Am I misreading the OP?
If it is a LHD with plastic beam deflectors all that is needed is to remove the deflectors as they will already be set up for Frogland.
Or is something else meant?

Yes ..we need clarification but.......

If he has a L/H/Drive bus with the original headlamps fitted then he already has the correct lamps and beam pattern for Europe.

And as he is using beam benders in this country the above ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Must be correct.

Hi all, and thanks for the responses! My mistake... I meant RHD. Sorry to have caused any confusion! ROB - very kind of you to offer a swap, but he's got round ones! And Kenny, thanks for the heads up on the paper trail!

Cheers all! :o)

Simple option would be to buy new healamps from a French or German supplier, e.g. Serial Kombi or Gunzl.

Don't know if you need to change just the headlamp, or the mounting bracket as well?

WANTED ADD

As many imports are swapped from L/H/D to R/H/D and Rounds are very cheap anyway, I'm guessing there will be someone with a couple of round L/H/D units sitting on a shelf in their garage.
Put a wanted in the wanted section.
