wing mirror glass

Post by bazildog »

Have searched the forum and not found anything, probs missed something.....

Can i get mirror glass for my wing mirrors? If so how easy is it to do the replacement?

I have bought some complete units now and after reading another thread I think i have ended up with cheap rattly ones. Should have checked here first but was in a rush as no right hand mirror on a lefty is a pain

Normally motor factors sell mirror glass replacements. They are self adhesive and stick over the top of broken glass etc.

well if std mirrors then for a start you can fit left to right and vice versa( they become horizontal as opposed to vertical) I split the seam on a std mirror and cut a bit of mirror to go back in, but as I do leaded glass for a pastime twas easy to cut.
