Mike did you just overlap the new panel and weld along the edge, or is it butt welded?

Well on this occasion i slightly releived the existing front panal , cut off all the bad, blasted and overlapped after weld thru etc, you can see the marks from where it was also spotted from behind, the centre section , I cut the top of the old and butt welded to the new as this bit is not included,
If yours is not too bad then cut and weld just below the raised swage, that said I will no doubt do the next one the same as the syncro here ,http://forum.club8090.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=83225
as it worked out neater to my mind, this thread also shows the front panal contrution quite nicely.
