Has anyone fitted a towbar to their van or had one fitted?
I need to tow a small trailer and would like to know the rough cost.

Hi Foxley,
Yes i fitted my one, quite straight forward really, I wanted a Westy style swan neck one and waited for ages and never seen one for sale so got the witter one from just campers. bar went on easy and electrics were simple to,
I think the kit cost about £150. and took about 3 hours to fit with electrics.
If you fit it yourself I am happy to pop over and help. ( could look at your seats at the same time if you still have them ).

Re: Towbar
Hi Foxley,
Yep I fitted one too. Its really easy to do as the chassis is already prepaired to take the legs of the towbar. Whip off the bumper and pop your head under the back end of the bus and you will see where the bumper stubbs are bolted into the chassis legs. Simply un-bolt these and slide them out. Then slide in the towbar legs and bolt them up.
It really is straight forward.
I bought my westfella towbar at one of the shows last year, and I've seen many others at the shows through last year so they are not hard to find. i think I paid £70, and it was in good condition. expect to pay around £50-£80 depending on condition.
Happy Days.

To late for me
I Waited a while and would have waited longer but we were going away and I wanted to take the kids bikes so bit the bullet and went to JK, wish I hadn't but hey ho, as soon as i fitted it a couple came up for sale. the westy swan necks are a better bar IMO.
