OK, been pretty busy again today :) I managed to find two of the rust spots the van failed the MOT on. One of which is on the O/S/R wheel arch area, and the other on the N/S sill at the rear which is near to the suspension pivot bit (don't know the correct name). I have welded them up, and painted and undersealed them.

I have yet to find the third rust hole but will try again tomorrow!!! (update) - Have just re-checked panel and looked at MOT fail certificate. The corrosion on the N/S inner wheel arch is in exactly the same place as the one I have just repaired. Happy days, should be an easy fix :D

Only other bits before the re-test are replacement of two bulbs.....and adjustment of headlamp aim

Thanks again RAINMAN for the loan of your welder :ok

Hi Folkers,

What type of underseal are you using. I got this thick rubbery textured stuff (not sure what it is) on mine and wondering what underseal to use which will be compatible?

Having MOT work done, carb tuning, and MOT re-testing. Going to be with them for about a week, but should have an MOT by then :D

Thanks Rattybird, yeah what you said....thats pretty much it, although only left about 2 wks between coats, and it hasn't been finished with any t-cut or anything yet. Im etheir going to use Autoglym bodyshop finishing compound or meguiars ultimate compound (I have both)
