Hi I started poking about at my gutters to discover a real mess, gutters gone in places but more worryingly the side of roof just above and next to gutter bit shot through with rust holes!!
I suspect I can repair the holes by welding in new metal, problem is can I do it without havingto remove whole roof.
It's a devon roof, origional devon conversion 1981, and the problem side is the driver side, one the roof pivets on.
Has any one done this work?
Can i get enough spaceto carry out repairs by drilling off the hing rivets and lifting the roof from this side up a couple of inches??
any help or advice?
Cheers John

Roof repairs
I have a similar side-lifting roof and when I did a respray I undid the hinge rivets to get the roof clear on the drivers side like you need to - but I also had to undo dozens of self tappers to release that side of the canvas and chock it all up a few inches - your Devon is probably much the same. So tedious but easy enough...
