Can I ask what type of paint should be used?

The type used in the 'paint your van for £50' thread (can't recall name just now) or some other type?

Apologies if this has been asked 5million times before!

Thanks.

Remember, the more rust you remove, the longer it will last !!

What kind of finish do you have, did you take it back to bare metal then fill and then apply or did you apply then paint over ?

I think I started the whole Vactan thing off (blush). I do know that the military and narrowboat owners use it. Its brilliant if you have rust developing and can't deal with it immediately but wear gloves - it sticks like evo-stik to fingers!

I'm fairly confident that if a head honcho has a word with them, they'll cut a deal for 80/90 owners as they gave me a voucher that knocked the price down after I sung its praises on here. Tis good stuff.

Hi you may have started the vactan thing on here, but i`ve been using it for years, after a friend of mine gave me some. He used to work for the US navy and it`s the only thing that the subs can use when under the water.

I found out who does the stuff and now sell it under license. I can offer a discount for a fair size order but I have no intention of starting a price war as I have my market that I sell this.

Let us know who wants any.
